Started and run by Richard & Sammy Jackson to initially cater to complete beginners we have since grown substantially, providing a wealth of information, advice, and useful equipment to many hundreds of chicken keepers in Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas ever since. THC ensures that all our equipment, products, and techniques are tried and tested, treating every customer personally and professionally. Many years ago Richard fell in love with a bird, it wasn’t on purpose but if you have your own chickens you know how it happens. All his ladies have been loved and cared for by hand on a daily basis. Florence, Red, Speckle, Freckle, Henrietta, a very special Petal who remains in his heart every day and never forgetting the star of every page on this site, our own very wonderful “Mavis”. She always looks surprised because she always is!
Sammy Jackson
Sammy is the office manager and keeps our busy team working hard by supplying never-ending coffee, cake, and motivation. Her role encompasses managing appointments, arranging deliveries, maintaining the flow of jobs in and out of the warehouse, managing the finance team, and keeping on top of all social media marketing.
